Each year the inductions for the E-Cell of NIT Trichy will conducted a week after the event Genesis. The induction procedure will get harder by the year comprising of 4 rounds.

The first round of the inductions involves filling up of a questionnaire by the interested candidates. This questionnaire will have a variety of questions that will help us check if a specific candidate possess the skills and mindser that he/she requires to join the E-Cell.

The next round is one that tests the candidate's communication skill and his/her team spirit. It comprises of a Group Discussion, first on a case study and then on a topic that is relevant to the current scenario in the world.

Candidates who make it past the second round will then have their Personal Interviews taken by members of the E-Cell. This involves tough questions that test the candidate's speed at thinking of solutions and working out of tight spots.

The final round of the inductions involves a mock conference / meeting with the roles of the head of TREC STEP and the Director of NITT usually played by the President and the Vice President of the E-Cell. This is more like a group interview, to see how well the members of a group gel with each other and work as a team in front of important persons.
